June - Rayner
Week beginning 1.6.26

This week we have been learning to partition tens and ones in our maths lessons. We are able to look at a 2 digit number and say how many tens it has and how many ones. We have completed lots of practical activities as well as some more thought-provoking challenges too!
Week beginning 8.6.26
Our topic this term is What Makes Britain Great? We are learning about the 4 countries that make up the United Kingdom, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and what makes them special. This week we have been learning about capital cities, focussing on London and the landmarks that you might see if you visited. The children shared their new knowledge by creating some maps of the city.

This week we completed our writing unit based on the text Augustus and his Smile by Catherine Rayner. We have written stories about an animal who has lost an object and gone on a journey to find them. What do you think of our final stories?
