October - Duffy

Over the last couple of weeks we have had to be resilient as we have not had our usual teachers. Most children did a brilliant job of showing our Ashleigh values and hard work.
On Wednesday 30th September we had harvest festival in school. Thank you for your generous donations. You may have noticed a loaf of bread in the shape of a wheatsheaf on the front table. Children in Duffy class worked really hard on Tuesday morning to make this loaf.
We rolled the wheat stalks.
We cut the ears of wheat.
We carefully put it altogether on a baking tray
Then Matt in the kitchen glazed and baked it for us.
Next year we hope to make bread rolls we can turn into a picnic and eat.
