Welcome to Evans Class, inspired by the imagination and energy of author Maz Evans. Here in our Year 5 and 6 class, led by Mrs Mitchell and supported by the wonderful Miss Britton, Miss Perry and Miss Bull, we take a relational approach to learning and classroom life.  Mr Day also joins us on a Thursday and a Friday. 

Our broad and varied curriculum is underpinned by high‑quality books—both fiction and non‑fiction—which help us explore big ideas, deepen our knowledge, and spark curiosity.

We believe every child should feel known, valued, and encouraged to grow both as an individual and as part of a team. Our pupils are empowered to use their voices, take on leadership roles such as play leaders and prefects, and develop the confidence and skills that will carry them far beyond Ashleigh.

Through creative subjects, meaningful collaboration, and strong links with our wider community, we embrace opportunities to experience life in all its fullness and celebrate the unique strengths each child brings to our class family.
